I have been an amateur astronomer since I was a kid starting when Halley’s comet came for a visit back in 1985 and 1986.
Right now I’m both an amateur and professional astronomer with my previous and current fields of study including:
- High resolution imaging
- Variable stars
- Photometric observations of asteroids
- Asteroid occultations
- Spacial and spectral studies of re-entering spacecraft
- Planetary imaging
- Earth orbiting and spacecraft launch imaging
- Educational outreach
- Software and hardware development
- IRAF tool development
- Video image processing
